I agree!
So true… Nothing I say here will be acceptable, so I say whatever I want…
Are you Bob?
As if anyone cares.
I think that assertion is correct. So say it where it will be acceptable. I wouldn’t go onto another inspector’s blog and start promoting myself. Think about whether continuing this well help or harm your own business…
Do you want to display questionable business ethics before a very large number of potential clients that you wish to attract? Seems like it would be counterproductive to me.

Russell’s a hypocrite. I would never do anything that blatant. I’ll leave this alone though. Just know that HomeGauge didn’t invent anything here…
Given his demeanor here, I can tell you all that I will never do business with Aaron Johnson and will never use Spectacular reporting software. I hope many of my colleagues feel the same.
Worth repeating.
You don’t know the definition of a hypocrite. It was an announcement that PV was sold. That was not their forum. It was a thread and I posted once. If you will go back and look I left you alone when you posted once, twice and more. you just can’t stay away. This is a HG Forum and you are a competitor. Why aren’t you at your own forum? With your own users? Am I following you around?
I am talking to my group and I am not at the general section. So you are mistaken and annoying.
Like.
Greatness attracts a crowd.
I would but that is way above my head. Great Video.
Secret weapon is a dud on so many levels.
- It circumvents the forced agreement lock out feature by allowing users to see report results.
 - The videos and pics are broken on my computers trying firefox and explorer on 2 different computers.
 - Requires way to much brain power and effort for real estate agents.
 - It’s a complicated way to create a summary list.
 - Inspectors don’t tell agents or clients repair objectives which is what agents need in their special PICRA (property inspection removal addendum) forms.
 - Another feature to woo the agents who are not our bread and butter.
More HomeGauge hocus pocus boogity woogity hype.
Hi Dan,
The feature can be a dud depending on how the inspector uses HG to build a report. That is why we ask the inspector to test it out and then view it as a buyer or agent. HomeGauge allows you to build a report your own way.
-
The forced agreement will block this feature once this feature is implemented. It is still in beta until we merge the code.
 -
Thanks I’ll look into that but the videos and pictures of your report worked fine in ie and edge. I’ll have the developer look at Firefox again. But if you did have issues then of course that would lessen the effect of the feature.

3 and 4. I agree it is confusing with the way you build your report. Your report mixes in observations and filler in the summaries you use as well as some positive comments you include in the body. Users who have a clear definite summary will allow the Rep or agent to choose just the summary so they wont see all the positives or observations or filler mixed in. In your case it is confusing because the agent or customer would need to show All in order to get all the important considerations in the feature but all the filler comes in too.
5 and 6. The inspector is not involved in the post inspection process but many agents use the report. This does make it easier for them for the majority of the way users build their report. Yours is not the common way. I am not trying to negatively criticize your report building. I know you have said in the past you don’t cater to agents and they are not your bread and butter. But many inspectors get a lot of business from agents and this feature is a great marketing tool for those that value the agent relationship.
I’d be glad to discuss this with you in private and will be more specific in how your report would work better with the feature, but if you are not interested I would turn it off in your situation.
